Counting down the days before your caravan holiday in Skegness is an exciting time, but it’s important to be prepared so that you aren’t stuffing your things into a suitcase at the last minute.
In this blog, we’ve put together two tips and tricks for packing for your caravan holiday.
Roll your clothes
Backpackers and other travel experts required to stuff weeks’ worth of clothing into a tiny suitcase agree that rolling your clothes is a better way of packing them than folding. Clothes that are rolled up tightly into sausages will take up significantly less space than folded items, and they’re much less likely to get deep wrinkles. Rolling works particularly well with smaller items made of synthetic materials such as nylon, as these are less likely to wrinkle than natural fabrics, like cotton. This method works well for joggers, pyjamas, tank tops, synthetic t-shirts, socks and shorts.
Take ziplock bags
Keeping all of your smaller essential items organised can be tricky, particularly when it comes to electronics and cables. Instead of simply stuffing them in your suitcase, purchase a set of ziplock bags to store your headphones, adaptors, camera charger, phone charger and any other small electrical items. It’s also a good idea to bring extra ziplock bags to store your keys, parking tickets, loose accessories, medication or any other important items that you’ll need to find quickly for the journey home.
